PM urges Aussies to stay home for Easter

Prime Minister, Scott Morrison has told Australians to stay home in his Easter message to the nation this afternoon, saying the country “cannot undo the tremendous progress” it has made towards flattening the curve of Coronavirus cases.

In a subdued but hopeful statement which was was contrastingly different to his 2019 Easter message, the PM said Easter in Australia would be like the rest of the world “very different”.

On Easter Sunday a year ago, Mr Morrison invited 1000 worshippers to his Easter service.

Neo-Nazi murderer loses conviction appeal

A neo-Nazi supremacist who murdered the father of her child because she wanted to get hold of his life savings and end the relationship has lost her appeal against conviction in court today in Perth.

Melony Jane Attwood plotted with fellow white supremacist and lover Robert Edhouse, to bludgeon 42 year-old Alan Taylor to death with a hammer whilst he slept in his house.

In an attempt to make the crime appear like a burglary gone wrong, the couple trashed the house and went to the movies after following the murder.

Freo Captain in lockdown strife

Police will investigate whether Fremantle Dockers star Nat Fyfe breached any restriction’s in place by going for a surf in Margaret River today.

WA Police Commissioner Chris Dawson said the matter was “up to Nat to answer” with Fremantle Dockers management quick to jump to the two time Brownlow Medallist’s defence saying he was “on a business trip with company Fyfe Logistics”.

However, Premier Mark McGowan showed further disappointed towards the Fremantle star.

“I never knew that surfing was an essential service, It is not a good look on the face of what he has done,” Mr McGowan said.

Ambitious NRL set for late May return

The Australian Rugby League (ARL) commission has launched an ambitious plan to have the NRL season restart by May 28 as they weigh up the merits of a new season structure.

State Of Origin looks set to remain a three-game format with the Grand Final looking set to still be played in Sydney. This announcement came only hours after Channel Nine launched an attack on the league due to mismanaging funds and leaving them with an unfilled contract.
