People in Perth have experienced an intense start to the winter season over the past few weeks.
The start of June has brought heavy rainfall and intense winds in a storm described as
“one of the most powerful storms in five decades” by the Bureau of Meteorology.
Reports of Flooding, damage caused by falling trees and cyclone-strength winds, resulting in mass power outages; were reported all around the Greater Perth area.
Although the storm front cleared rather quickly, and locals were even able to enjoy some sunny days, the Bureau warns that Western Australians should be prepared for yet another storm to come soon.
This upcoming Monday, Perth is set to be hit by two cold fronts, and we are expected to witness rains above 25mm, winds up to 30km/hr, and possible thunderstorms.
