This last Saturday, Mojang came to present the 2025 Edition of Minecraft LIVE, revealing & confirming many new exciting features for the Game.
One exciting thing they announced was that there would now be a whopping 2 Minecraft LIVE shows per year.
The ‘Spring To Life’ update, is focusing on increasing the variety of Overworld Biomes by adding Mob Variants, New Sounds and new Decor Blocks.
Whilst many of the features mentioned in this Year’s Minecraft LIVE have been showcased in previous months, there are some Brand New Reveals of features that Players have been clamoring about, for Years.

In the coming months, Mojang is hoping to introduce ‘Vibrant Visuals’. It is going to be a visual update by way of a lighting overhaul, to create a visual experience much akin to shaders. This will introduce directional lighting, light beams, reflections, improved glow effects, shadows & distance haze.
The Vibrant Visuals are planned to be a Optional Feature, accessible to Bedrock Players via a local in-game menu.
Here’s a Before & After Image from Minecraft LIVE of the Feature:

Another newly announced feature, is the Dried Out Ghast, & Ghast Friendship.
Found within Soul Sand Valleys in the Nether, dried out Ghasts can be found hidden throughout the fossils.
They can be placed within Water to re-hydrate them.
After a long enough time, The Ghastlling will Awake!

Cute happy little thing, isn’t it?

They can be fed to grow larger. Fed what, exactly?
Snowballs.
After being fed enough, The Ghastling will become a Happy Ghast.

They can also be rode via a Harness, alongside up to 4 other players or used as a Flying & Mobile Platform.
Some Players are hoping for the ability to bring their Pets along for a ride as well.
Others are hoping that Mojang will take this opportunity to fix their (reportedly) Awful AI, limiting the amount that Pets can wander.

There will be Mischief.

Whilst it might not qualify as an “Uneasy Alliance”, I think some players will delight in performing rescue missions in The Nether for some useful & chipper new Companions.
Last but not least of the things we have to discuss about this Year’s Minecraft LIVE, the Minecraft Movie will be releasing on April 4th.
So in celebration, a short behind the scenes/promotional segment was included in the Minecraft LIVE discussing the Film.
Though many are hesitant, cautiously optimistic, or firmly pessimistic about the Film & it’s quality, you can rest assured that we will be reviewing the Film, both On-Air & right here, on the Website.
