Tenacious D-issapointment

With Kung Fu Panda 4 showing in cinemas now and Tenacious D announcing an Australian tour, only one question is on people’s minds.

Why isn’t Perth allowed to have nice things?!

Tenacious D, comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, will begin the Australian leg of their “Spicy Meatball” tour in mid-July this year, with dates set for all over the land down under.

With one rather significant exception… Perth.

The initial reaction from fans an-all too familiar, “Another bloody international artist not making the effort to come out West and visit”.

Being the most isolated city strikes again, it would seem.

Well, fret not, fellow hunters of the Pick of Destiny; Jack Black – when interviewed in Sydney, went on record, “I just got this tour schedule proposed to us.”

“I’m going to throw the promoter under the bus, I don’t know why we aren’t playing Perth. Next Time.”

“(Perth is) the resting place of Bon Scott, greatest lead singer of all time!”

The 54-year-old rocker’s comments should bring hope to any pilgrims to the great town of Kickapoo that the Tenacious Duo haven’t ruled out the idea of another tour in the future to grace the West Coast and pay Tribute to Bon Scott himself at the RAC Arena.
