The Eagles had their first trip to the MCG since 2019 and both teams didn’t get off to the best of starts with a goalless 1 quarter the first since 2012, The Eagles ended up piling 7 goals to 3 in the second quarter that set up the win for the Eagles, the only concern was Josh Kennedy who was subbed out of the game in the last quarter due to tweaking his calf.
Brisbane Vs Fremantle 95-71
Due to the recent covid-19 restrictions in WA, Fremantle were forced to relocate to Brisbane to face the Lions. Things did not go well for the Dockers with loosing up and coming star Michael Fredrick to an ankle injury early, Skipper Nat Fyfe did not bring his kicking boots kicking 1 goal 3 and full forward Matt Taberner was the pick of the forwards kicking 1 goal 2, in the end the Lions class prevailed all day and ended up running out 24-point winners.
Perth Wildcats Vs New Zealand Breakers 98-84
This game was probably the weirdest Wildcats game in sometime with the whole crowd in facemasks, but that didn’t stop the Red Army from coming out in force to see the wildcats beat the breakers by 10 points even though he didn’t play a minute it was a happy wildcats debut for will Magney and Bryce Cotton, John Mooney keep on keeping on with 32 points from Cotton and 27 from Mooney to improve the wildcats to 20 wins and 7 losses in season 2021.
Perth Glory Vs Melbourne Victory 2-1
The Glory had to get back to winning ways after going down 3-1 to Melbourne City on Wednesday and they did exactly that with a 2-1 win over the victory, After saving a penalty in the first half the glory went on a tear in the second half scoring 2 goals thanks to Bruno Fornaroli and Chris Ikonimidis, before victory scored a goal in the dying minutes to make it interesting, But the Glory prevailed for there 6 win of the campaign.
