With ten unique songs recorded to showcase the rich vein of music talent running through the Goldfields, WAM’s Sounds Of The Goldfields compilation is now a Feature Album on BOOM Radio.

Along with guest sessions from Black-Background-Disc-1200x900.pngEskimo Joe’s Joel Quartermain (Wastelands Studio), Sounds Of The Goldfields saw award-winning engineers Matt Gio (Rada Studios) and Sean Lillico (Fur Real Studio) working with Goldfields artists to create ten fresh tracks, the Soundtown pop-up studio in Kalgoorlie achieving stellar results, covering everything from rock’n’roll to country, soul, hip hop, indie rock, blues and roots, electro-pop and beyond. Mastered by William Bowden (King Willy Sound, responsible for putting the finishing touches to such hits as Gotye’s Somebody That I Used To Know), he’s acclaimed this CD as a huge step forward in the series.

Sounds Of The Goldfields project coordinator Nigel Bird said, “Regional Western Australia is laden with outstanding songwriters and musicians, and combining them with professional producers at the top of their game has brought seriously impressive results. This is the eighth ‘Sounds Of’ project we’ve completed, and it’s the strongest yet.”

Fume makes atmospheric dance music inspired by house and U.K. garage. Born in Australia, He began producing his own music in his early teens. Several years later, he won a competition held by Future Classic and subsequently signed with the label to release a 2011 EP featuring the track “Sleepless.” The following year, he delivered his debut self-titled solo album, which featured guest appearances from Chet Faker, Jezzabell Doran, and Moon Holiday, among others. In his homeland, it topped the ARIA album chart and went double platinum.

Early this year, Flume teased the existence of his new album Skin with a preview of new music. The beatmaker’s new album. The album features guest appearances from Beck, Raekwon, Vince Staples, Vic Mensa, Little Dragon, AlunaGeorge, Allan Kingdom, and others.
