Another AFL Legend bites the dust…

We had already seen 3 AFL legends announce their retirement at the end of the season but we have now seen a fourth with 4-time premiership player at the Hawks and West Coast Eagles off season recruit Sam Mitchell announcing that this season was also going to be his last.


Sam Mitchell will next season continue on in the West Coast Eagles coaching box as an Assistant Coach.

He also joins Matt Priddis as 2 Eagles to announce that 2017 will be their last, as well as Nick Riewoldt from St Kilda and Luke Hodge from Hawthorn. Who else will announce it??



Matt Priddis has announced that he will be retiring at season’s end

West Coast Eagles great and 2014 Brownlow Medalist, Matt Priddis, has announced that he will be retiring at the end of the 2017 AFL Season. After a torrid week at the Eagles, the veteran announced his retirement only 2 months after signing a one-year contract extension.

He will still be around the club and will be helping out off the field next season. Matt Priddis said that the decision was his but he would miss the players, fans and staff around the club especially.


Linkin Park lead Singer , Chester Bennington, dead at 41

Singer and lead singer of rock band ‘Linkin Park’ who were more prominent early in the 2000’s, Chester Bennington has passed away at the age of just 41. The singer has been reported as committing suicide after a long battle with depression and a tough upbringing.
