Week 2 of the AFL Finals have wrapped up and another week full of 2 very disappointing finals, in a season which was one of the closest on record.
The Friday night game was a battle between the Geelong Cats and Sydney Swans from the MCG and it was one of those games which started off with so much hype but failed to really deliver to any great heights with the Cats humiliating the Swans at the MCG.
The other game on this weekend was the GWS Giants taking on the West Coast Eagles at Spotless Stadium.
This game was really competitive for the first 20 minutes and you could say that is where it ended, as the Giants thumped the Eagles and redeemed themselves after a shocker the week before and in doing so, they finished the careers of Matt Priddis, Drew Petrie, Sam Butler and Sam Mitchell.
This weekend will see the preliminary finals in action as the Adelaide Crows take on the Geelong Cats at the Adelaide Oval with Patrick Dangerfield taking on his old side.
Meanwhile the Richmond Tigers will also be going up against the GWS Giants at the MCG and this will be the very first time ever that ex – Tiger Brett Deledio will finally go up against his former team.
