“The way we do things now is very different than the way we did things back in the days of Kill ‘Em All and Ride the Lightning. Nowadays we like to do so many different things.”  – Lars Ulrich

The album received an average score of 74/100 from 28 reviews on Metacritic, the album is a refreshing change of paced to Legacy Metallica while still taking a step into new territory and expanding their heavier roots.
